Try these mouth-watering crispy sev as a snack, I love these with a cup of chai!
Ingredients
2 Cups Besan (gram flour- fine)
½ Cup Water
½ TSP Coriander seeds
½ TSP Fennel seeds
½ TSP Carom (Ajwain) seeds
Add the above 3 seeds together and crush them.
1 TSP Salt (or as per taste)
1 TSP Chilli Powder
1/8 TSP Heeng
1/8 TSP Baking Soda (Soda Bi Carb)
Method
1. Mix all the spices & baking soda with besan flour. Add ½ cup of water to make a medium-thick batter. Rest it for 10 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan.
3. Using a sev making machine, make sev and cook on high heat for 2 minutes and then turn them over. Fry for 2-3 minutes more till they turn golden in colour.
4. Take them out of the oil and rest for 5 minutes. Sev are ready, enjoy them with a cup of tea. Yummy!
